Research:
Use the techniques of bioorthogonal noncanonical amino acid tagging (BONCAT) and click-chemistry to tag and enrich nascent proteins in plants. This project will be focused on linking enzyme turnover rate and function. It will track age, activity and protein modification state for selected enzymes that are important for crop productivity.
